Who can advertise on Around Candelo?

Accepted Answer

You must either:
Live in Candelo or the immediate surrounding area (Wolumla, Tantawangalow, Toothdale, Mogilla, Myrtle Mountain) or your business is located in the area.

OR

You bring your products/services to the areas listed above by arrangement - businesses that require locals to leave the area to buy or use their services are not eligible.

If you are not sure if your business/hobby qualifies then just ask - we are happy to consider all requests.

Question 2

How much does it cost to advertise my business on Around Candelo?

Accepted Answer

We charge a very affordable $55 (GST Inclusive) for a full 12 month listing in a single category.
From 2025 onwards the 12 months starts from the 1st of July to the 30th of June the following year in line with the financial year.

If you apply to list on Around Candelo after the start date you will only be charged pro rata for the full months left in that years listing period.

We will invoice you annually to continue your listing/s approximately prior to your listing/s expiring - non payment of an invoice by the due date may lead to the listing being removed.

If your business covers more than one category we only charge an extra $15 for each additional category you want to have the same listing displayed in. You can use a different photo for your additional listings but the text content has to be the same.

Around Candelo is owned & run by Oak Grove Graphics - a Candelo based web & graphic design agency operating in Candelo since 2007.

We offer affordable custom web design, logo design, advertising, magazine layout etc.

We love Candelo & the surrounding towns and wanted to create a site specific to our area, so locals know what products/services are available in the immediate area.  Locals supporting locals. :)

What if I have a problem with one of the businesses listed?

Around Candelo facilitates the sharing of information via our website between advertiser & viewer only - we do not get involved with any issues that arise between advertisers & viewers once they make contact - DO NOT contact us regarding anything of this nature.

However, if your problem with a listing arises from  the contact information being incorrect or the advertiser never replying to your attempts to contact then let us know & we will reach out to them to see what is happening.

What is your privacy policy?

Around Candelo & Oak Grove Graphics do not sell or share your information with anyone - we only list the information you provide to us as part of your listing if you are an advertiser.

We also collect information to see how viewers interact with our site.

What are your Terms & Conditions for using this website?

Advertisers

Approval of listings is at our discretion - no illegal products or services, pornographic, hateful material or listings deemed not in keeping with the spirit of community in the Candelo area will be approved.

By submitting content for a listing on Around Candelo you are confirming you have the right to submit such information on behalf of the business/person mentioned in the listing & that you own copyright to all content & images supplied to us for the listing or the images are listed online as free to use for commercial purposes.

We do not participate in the contacts made via the listing, this is solely between the person listing & the person contacting them regards that listing - DO NOT contact us to resolve any disputes that may arise from your listing.

If we receive multiple complaints from various sources that any person listing does not reply to contact attempts, we reserve the right to remove any listing after an email warning has been sent - we want this site to be a positive place for all locals - if you can’t be bothered replying to contacts generated from this site then do not apply to be listed.

Viewers

You use this website and contact any of the advertisers at your discretion.

Around Candelo & Oak Grove Graphics make no claims to the accuracy of any of the information supplied to us by advertisers or if any product or service advertised is suitable for you and your life situation.

We do not participate in disputes between advertisers and viewers. The only exception being if you find the contact information is incorrect, or that the person listing does not reply to your attempts to contact them using the information provided.
